Help us make Oliver's prayers come true!
Sat 3/13/2010 6:21 PM: Ollie has a lot of
spirit. Apparently his issue is genetic. his right leg, the one that
was operated on, is straight. The other leg is curved. This may have
been his having to compensate for the bum wrist since he was a pup.
Nevertheless, he has a huge spirit. He loves attention. We wrapped
up his cast with plastic and took him outside. He seemed to really love
being outside, and did his business. After he ate dinner he seemed very
calm. More calm than he usually is. I think he is in some post-op
pain. We are giving him pain meds as prescribed by the vet. He and I
are just watching the ACC and chillin. I think he is glad to be back here.
I don't want to say that Ollie is a fighter. I think it's more accurate to
say that he has known nothing but adversity. He doesn't see very well and
he has always had the bum wing. So, what we would think of as difficulty
is his normal. So, he seems to just decide to be happy. He is an
infectiously happy little boy. You cant help but like Ollie. He
plays hard, he sleeps hard, he eats with gusto and he squeezes every ounce out
of whatever the day brings.
Keep sending Ollie your positive thoughts and prayers. He will get through
this.
