A special "thanks" to the Oak Ridge Village Veterinary Hospital, Dr. Art Taylor for helping Tinkerbell, and working with us on payment
The surgery took a long time. . . but Tinkerbell has done well. I was told she will most likely have to deal with a lot of pain this time due to all the major moving of the skin folds stretched down her back and sewn together to cover the wound. Doc inserted a drainage tube to keep fluids from building up under the skin. The half moon you see on her back will be the next step for surgery in the recovery process.
She had to stay overnight in the hospital and hopefully be able to come home tomorrow, I will keep you updated. Tinkerbell will need lots of prayers to help her through this horrific pain to heal. Please keep her in your daily prayers she makes it through this.....

Tinkerbell is home today and despite the fact she had major surgery yesterday her spirits are high and personality is just as bubbly as ever. Personally I don't know who hurts worst me or her~!! If you ask Miss Tinks I think she would tell you "NO" I am not in any pain! But when I look at her my heart just melts with pain........ So she is on meds to keep her calmed down so she doesn't burst open her stitches bouncing around, as well as major antibiotics are continued.
She returns back to see Doc this Friday to have the drainage tube removed and a check up. Then she will have more surgery on June 10, 2007.

Tinkerbell is a sweet happy little girl despite all she is going through. Some of her skin graft has failed some but a lot is also doing well. It’s really surprising to me this has not damaged her spirits at all. She loves it when I clean and medicate her back, I guess it just feels good to her. It’s been a hard job doing this every 2 and 3 hours all day, and them a 45min cleaning first thing each morning.

I’m sorry I haven’t posted an update, it’s just been such a hard job to work and try and keep up with this for her. But I will do my very best to keep you updated as much as possible.
