"Victory"
(continued from page one)

UPDATE: June 23, 2006
Victory came home today and it is amazing to see what a huge difference a week has made! She must take an antibiotic and pain medication twice a day, along with an antibiotic ointment twice a day for her good eye.
She is still VERY tiny right now, she should be weighing at least 18+ pounds for her size!!!!!!!!! She still looks like a Skelton with skin and some fur!!!!!!! You can still see her hip and rib bones!!!!!!
She has at least 8 pounds to put on, and I will feed her ALL she wants and plenty of meats, I just fed her 1 cup Pro Plan puppy food, plus 2 tbp of canned puppy and a 1/2 cup of roast beef 30 min after that.
We walked in the grass, she pooped and peed and came up to me as if to tell me she was a GOOD GIRL! And GOSH she is such a darling sweet heart!!! I picked her up and loved all over her telling what a good girl she was!!!!!!!!
She has followed me everywhere since I got home with her. I was in the pugs play room with the door closed and I heard her bark and cry for me and scratch on the door wanting to get near me!!!!!!!!! I started to cry myself! I am sure she remembers me when I picked her up at the shelter.
Victory has an appointment in 10 day to have the stitches removed from her eye removal. She still also needs to regain her overall health back now..... so she can be;
Spayed
Teeth Cleaned
. . . and possibly an eye surgery on her good eye to close the lids some to protect it since she only has one good eye for the rest of her life and we must protect it..

UPDATE: June 24, 2006
Victory is the most loyal, protective, darling sweet pug I have ever met! However I have found out she does not want to share me with my other pugs! She wants to fight them off away from me! This will be something I will have to work on with her. Hopefully she will learn in time I have enough love, hugs, food and kisses for every one.
I can not believe how much she has taken to me in only one day! She will not let me out of her site. Last night this cried and barked (which was a good sound after not hearing a sound when I rescued her that day) when I put her in her crate and went into the bedroom to go to sleep last night. She would NOT stop barking and crying wanting to be near me.............so I had to go get her and put her in the bed with me. This little lady acts like she has been here all her life! What an amazing turn around she has made so fast, she certainly has a very strong will to survive and is fighting to live life to it's fullest! Without a doubt Victory will make some lucky family whole and complete.
She has continued to eat very well. Right now I am feeding her three times a day. Her breakfast and dinner consist of 1 cup dry Pro Plan puppy, with 2 tbps. of canned with a little water, and cooked meat. I have started adding Nupro supplement to her food each time I think this will real give her a great boost for a fast health recovery. Last night she ate half of my filet Mignon steak :) At lunch time she gets treats and puppy biscuits which she truly loves.
